I tried

to take some Christmas pictures of my little monkey.

I was pretty unsuccessful, but I did end up with some cute action shots.

Here are a few.

That's it.

I'm very tired.

I have massive amounts of laundry to fold.

That's it.

Buzz Buzz

This child LOVES animals.

Meet Buzz Buzz.

Buzz was my classroom pet that I reluctantly brought home one weekend to take care of.
It was love at first sight.
Now every guinea pig/rodent looking creature is a Buzz Buzz.

We take trips to Petsmart just to look at all the Buzzes.

Sadly Buzz Buzz passed away from old age shortly after I brought him home : ( At least it didn't happen on my watch.

Maybe someday Savannah will have a Buzz Buzz of her own.

I love the weekends.

I do think that one of the benefits of being a working mom (part-time- but still working), is the joy that I get out of a weekend.

However, Mondays have become one of my favorite days of the week. I don't work Mondays, and that's when Savannah and I get to go to our parent/toddler class at Desert Sun.

Although it's only a 2 hour class, it's possibly the best 2 hours Savannah and I get to spend together each week. We spend a lot of time "togeter" on a daily basis, but during these 2 hours, my focus is on her and only her, no laundry, cleaning, homework, tv, computer, etc. Just her!

It's been so cool to watch her learn the routine of school at such a young age: putting her backpack in her cubby, figuring out the set up of the classroom, meeting and remembering her friends, helping at clean up time, getting her own snack basket and cleaning up her area when done, sitting at circle time and singing the songs....it's just awesome!

She worked so hard on this and couldn't wait to show daddy! Except, when she finally got around to showing it to him, she had pulled out all the pipe cleaners and torn apart the dried out play dough.

Sometimes she opts out of circle time and decides to sit in the reading corner and read books.

Mom finally got smart and decided to bring extra paint shirts to school each day!
She LOVES stickers! I think she used every sticker in the writing center this day.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Savannah's first Starbucks experience!

Who knew they had kid's chocolate milk for $1.00?!?

She definitely thought she was HOT STUFF.
