To an admirable woman

Jacquelyn Forney-Overstreet Noll NOLL, Jacquelyn Jackie Jacquelyn Forney-Overstreet Noll, 87, of Mesa passed away on April 29, 2009, in her home holding the hands of her daughters. Jackie was known by all as a gentle and kind women with a quick smile, a caring heart, and a selfless spirit... who loved dancing and a party. Family and friends will remember her at a memorial service on Friday, May 8, 11:00 a.m. at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr. Mesa. Jackie was born to Mary and Gilbert Big Forney, July 15, 1921, in Cherokee, Ok. After Mary's untimely death Jackie and her brother, J.Lee were raised by their maternal uncle, Frank Marion Overstreet and his wife, Hazel, in Ponca City, OK. The children were devoted to each other and Jackie was devastated when J.Lee died in 1944 as a Westpoint cadet in a flight training accident. A gifted musician with a keen sense of rhythm, in her teens Jackie performed many solo piano programs. She attended Cottey College in Nevada, MO. There she met Henry Hank Christopher Noll, and they were married September 7, 1940. The couple headed West, and Jackie quickly grew to love Arizona; enjoying all it had to offer as she traveled with Henry throughout the state. Jackie devoted her energies to her children and helping Henry in various business; the dairy farm, Noll's furniture store, the 2C cattle ranch. She was active in P.E.O. and Desert club, and cherished the friendships that endured from those associations. She also worked several years in the front office of Westwood High School where her sweet demeanor and happy helpfulness calmed agitated parents, students, and faculty on a daily basis. She is preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her three children, Jacque Lee Salamy Joe, H.C. Noll Marilyn, and Judy Lyn Hogen Paul; five grandchildren, Christopher Noll, Elissa Salamy, H.C. Noll, Megan Swiatkowski, Emily Hogen; and four great-grandchildren, Geoffrey and Melody Salamy, Savannah Swiatkowski, and Peyton Noll. In lieu of flowers, Jackie requests donations to Sunshine Acres, Mesa, Arizona.
